Not looking to offend anyone here, this is just a genuine observation and curiosity: why is it that an overwhelming number of WNBA players seem to be gay?

Just looked up the stats-

According to Statista, 8.5% female and 4.7% male Americans identify as LGBT (so already just that should increase the number compared to male sports quite a bit)

My theory:
It's easier for women to be openly gay in sports; sports are mostly followed by men. It would be "bad image/business" for the sport if male athletes were openly gay.. men don't mind as much when women are gay  🤣

Just cover the spread, that's basically what I look at.

Anyway to stay on the topic, I recall Brittney Griner having to spend a couple extra days in Russia due to some cannabis oil found in her luggage.  Probably she won't be planning too many Euro trips in the near future.

The 10-time All-Star center just signed a one year deal with the Atlanta Dream, and yes she's married to Charelle Griner (Relationship Timeline).
