The Atlanta Braves (27-34, 4th place in the NL East) visit the San Francisco Giants (35-28, 3rd in the NL West). Atlanta continues to struggle and just blew a 6-run 9th inning lead to the D-Backs. San Francisco made substantive roster changes amid a slump.

The New York Mets meet the Los Angeles Dodgers for the 3rd game of their series in LA. This is a matchup between two of MLB's best and a possible playoff preview. Tony Gonsolin starts for LA against NY's Griffin Canning.

The Philadelphia Phillies visit the Toronto Blue Jays having been swept by the Brewers and losing 4 straight overall. The Blue Jays have won 5 straight and 6 of 7, crawling into contention. Cristopher Sanchez starts for Philly against the Jays' Bowden Francis.

The Cleveland Guardians visit the New York Yankees for a 3-game series in the Bronx. These clubs are longtime rivals and New York won 2 of 3 in Cleveland earlier this season. The Guardians start Tanner Bibee; the Yankees respond with Carlos Rodon.

The Milwaukee Brewers (32-28, 3rd in the NL Central) visit the Cincinnati Reds (29-31, 4th in the NL Central). Brady Singer takes the hill for Cincinnati; Aaron Civale starts for Milwaukee. Both clubs are trying to get into Wild Card contention.

The Chicago White Sox (18-40, 5th place, AL Central) complete their 3-game series against the Baltimore Orioles (21-36, 5th place, AL East). both teams are in last place in their divisions. Chicago's Adrian Ho faces Baltimore's Charlie Morton.

The New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers meet for a World Series rematch. Both teams are currently in 1st place in their respective divisions. The Bombers send ace Max Fried to the hill against LA's Tony Gonsolin.

The Tampa Bay Rays, hovering around .500 and ahead of bigger money teams the Blue Jays, Red Sox, and Orioles, head to Houston to play the Astros. Houston is chasing the Mariners in the AL West. Tampa Bay starts Shane Baz. Baz is trying to build on his last start after several poor outings. The Astros start rookie Ryan Gusto who has been used as both a starter and a reliever this season.

The frontrunners in the AL West, the Seattle Mariners, host the Washington Nationals. Seattle is holding off the 2nd place Astros in a mediocre division. They send the 6th overall pick in the 2020 MLB Draft, Emerson Hancock, to the mound. The Nats are still rebuilding. One of their keys to the future is starter Mackenzie Gore, a burgeoning star leading MLB in strikeouts.
